An investment philosophy is founded on your view about markets, how they work, or don’t work, and the types of mistakes you believe consistently underlie investor behaviour. An investment strategy, on the other hand, is much narrower. It’s a way of putting into practice your investment philosophy. You use an investment strategy that best delivers to your investment philosophy and, if the strategy doesn’t succeed, you find a new one.
